Hi Rex -- it's your MOM! Yes, I go to your blog every once in a while. Now that Dad and Scott moved my computer upstairs to the sun room (just today) I can use it more often. I've had trouble getting downstairs. The organ is on the stage with the piano.
I love your poem. I pride myself in thinking that you got your creativity from me. I've always loved reading and especially poetry and have written my share.
I've been fighting it but I've decided to have knee surgery.
I'm sure this is not the place to write you a personal letter but here it is anyway -- so there.
Love you lots!

Thanks Les. I've actually got a growing book of them now. I'm a total amateur, but somewhere I read that it was good for your mind to write poetry, plus it's fun to be creative and get my right brain juiced up.

One time I decided that all emails written to the people in my work group would be in poetry. It created a fun inside joke, and even brought out some good poetry talent from others in our group who tried to respond in a similar manner.
