I have a friend my age who met my dad less than a month before his death, more than 25 years ago. Dan still remembers whole conversations he had with my dad. When I found out when Dan moved to San Diego and told him when my dad died, he didn’t believe me; he was sure they’d known each other for years.
It makes you proud when you know your father changed people’s lives.
Happy rainbow, Rex.
It’s true, he did, and I am.
