The French (allegedly) say, life is short: eat dessert first.
When we pause to do something on our own time and terms, you’re right, it’s easier to go do That Other Thing.
Yep, I guess that’s what I’m saying. When you have some broccoli to eat, go eat some dessert first, then the broccoli will go down easier.
But you bring out the reason why it is sweet and dessert-like – it’s on our own time and terms, and we have a strong desire or passion to do it.
Ooh, I want some more of that sweet stuff.
