I’m sure as a dad you’ve had lots of practice carrying on two conversations at once. I know I do it all the time. Maybe it’s not effective, but sometimes it’s necessary!

You’re right, maybe not as effective, but if you think of the alternative, which is completely missing the other conversation, well I’d say, something is better than nothing.
